Challenge: Complete all required construction to build a state-of-the-art 22,000 square foot ambulatory care center working within tight budget and schedule constraints. The new medical office facility provides primary care services; walk-in/urgent care; imaging services, including mammography, ultrasound and X-ray; 14 exam rooms; physical therapy, a laboratory; four treatment rooms and an ambulance transfer area. The new facility greatly expands the reach of critical healthcare services to the growing and under-served community of Plainfield and the surrounding areas.
Solution: Hired in the process as the General Contractor, Peak’s project management and site management personnel collaborated closely with Irgens, Edward Health Ventures, tenant representative, CBRE, the Village of Plainfield and the project architect, Eckenhoff Saunders Architects to ensure that all complex zoning and specialized governmental healthcare requirements were met in a timely manner to insure the successful opening of the new facility. As part of the process Peak provided value engineering scenarios to bring the project within the client’s budget.
