Challenge: MedTorque, an orthopedic instruments and implants manufacturer, was moving operations into a new space during their busy season. The challenge was completing the tenant improvement, executing a phased move and receiving permitting, all without disruption to their order-fulfillment requirements.
Solution: To facilitate MedTorque’s distinct schedule, Peak worked closely with the company and the City of Elmhurst to accomplish a phased move-in and phased permit occupancy. Peak first completed and received occupancy for the office build-out to enable MedTorque to move their office operations. The manufacturing improvements were then completed. The equipment transfer was carefully orchestrated so that there would be no interruption to orders. Finally, each line was dismantled and moved over a weekend so it was operational by Monday. The solution occurred over three months and worked harmoniously during MedTorque’s busiest season.
