Challenge: Simultaneously design and construct two multi-tenant warehouse distribution facilities while the overall Business Park site infrastructure was being completed.
Solution:Provide full design and construction services of two multi-tenant buildings while the Business Park infrastructure improvements were being completed. With the simultaneous completion of these projects, special provisions needed to be incorporated into the design and construction of the building’s temporary project conditions for sanitary sewer, storm water, water main improvements, site access, project power and coordination of public improvements. Complying with multi-tenant mechanical and electrical criteria could have delayed the construction process, as well. Peak worked carefully to understand the excavation and utility issues associated with the design and construction of two multi-tenant buildings to be constructed on the corner of the large development.
Peak worked closely with the architect and engineers on these projects to coordinate and include the design-build multi-tenant mechanical and electrical criteria with the building design and public utilities as well as the development of a schedule to complete the projects in 24 weeks for possible tenant occupancy.
