Currently As Peak’s Safety Director, Ed is responsible for oversight, management and expansion of Peak’s collective/cumulative safety performance. Ed promotes and enhances the safety culture by partnering with Field Operations Managers and Superintendents to identify potential hazards, implement and enforce proactive safety programs, and works closely with the entire company to communicate safety-related topics to facilitate safety-conscious planning and procedures.
Expertise In addition to his superintendent experience, Ed brings 15 years of Safety Management experience to the position. His wide-ranging safety and construction knowledge provide project teams and clients a level of confidence that Peak projects are evaluated frequently, confirming their adherence to strict safety guidelines and requirements. Ed is a member of the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) and the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) as well as holds the multiple certifications.
Experience Over his career, he has held Superintendent and Safety Manager, Director and Supervisor positions and provided safety supervision on projects ranging from $500,000 to $100M spanning the industrial, commercial, healthcare and multifamily construction markets. Ed has been a part of many prior large-scale projects including the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, Northwestern University’s Simpson Querrey Institute and The Reed.
