Peak Construction Corporation Awarded Beijing Taihua Group’s New Facility in Joliet, IL

Des Plaines, IL (June 25, 2019) — Peak Construction Corporation has been awarded a design-build contract for a new, speculative industrial warehouse in Joliet, Illinois.  Spanning 137,640 SF, the warehouse will boast a 32’ clear height, 30 dock doors, 2 drive-in doors, and a flexible floorplan that can accommodate 2 tenants.  The building will be owned by TCB 1 LLC, a joint venture controlled by Beijing-based Beijing Taihua Group and Chicago-based Janko Group.  For this project, Peak has teamed with Harris Architects Inc. and Jacob & Hefner Associates and expects to complete construction by the end of 2019.

Beijing Taihua Group has extensive real estate development, construction, and asset management expertise.  Their projects have spanned office, retail, hospitality, multi-family residential, and organic agriculture.  Though based in China, the company has over 30 years of experience in both Europe and the United States.
