Mike Sullivan, president and founder of Peak Construction Corporation, announces that the firm has been selected by Trammell Crow Company to construct a 75,000 square-foot, 3-story medical office building and fully enclosed pedestrian walkway in Bolingbrook, Ill. With completion scheduled for February 2008, Peak will pursue an aggressive construction schedule accommodating construction design and permitting.
“While building a connecting walkway that will offer patients, doctors and medical staff direct, quick and convenient access to one of the newest state-of-the-art hospitals makes this project unique in its own right, it is our proven “fast track” capabilities and team ingenuity that will insure the stringent project schedule is executed,” said Sullivan.
The project, located on Remington Boulevard at Schmidt Road in Bolingbrook, Ill. will afford office space for one and two doctor office suites connected by a fully enclosed pedestrian walkway, on grade, 14’-0” floor-to-floor, to the newly constructed Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital; a designated Level II Trauma Center and one of the first new Illinois hospitals to be built in over 25 years. The offices will provide CT Scan-molecular imaging and mammogram women’s imaging functions along with many other state-of-the-art services. The building will consist of a steel-framed structure with reinforced concrete footings, precast and glass façade. HVAC units will be roof-mounted with metal screen panels attached. Additional parking necessary for the operation of the facility includes the construction of a 375 space parking lot plus handicap-accessible spaces.
Peak Construction Corporation’s project team includes John Reilly, project executive, Jim Guelcher, Project Manager, Bill Nielsen, project superintendent. The architect is VOA Associates, Chicago, Ill. and Trammell Crow Company is the developer.
