Des Plaines, IL (December 4, 2013) — Peak Construction Corporation was voted NAIOP Chicago’s General Contractor of the Year last night at the 26th Annual Awards for Excellence dinner. “We are simply ecstatic to win this distinction two years in a row and would like to thank NAIOP and everyone who voted for us,” Michael Sullivan, Jr., CEO and Co-Founder said. “Peak was once again in the running with some exceptionally skilled and talented companies and we wish to congratulate them as well as all the nominees and winners at the event.” Easton-Bell Sports, Inc., CareFusion and Westfield Ford, three of Peak’s largest 2013 projects, were highlighted as part of the nomination. Judging criteria included total square-footage, total project cost and a brief description of the project.
In addition, Easton-Bell Sports, Inc.’s Distribution and Shared Service Center was awarded both Industrial Development of the Year and Industrial Broker Transaction of the Year. Congratulations to the winners, Janko Group and Avison Young, respectively. As the project Design-Builder, Peak was honored to share in the success of this benchmark project and would like to thank the entire team: Heitman Architects Incorporated, SPACECO, Inc., our talented subcontractors and, most importantly, Lewis Hornsby and the team at Easton-Bell Sports.

The annual Awards for Excellence event was held downtown at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers. Each year NAIOP Chicago hosts the event to celebrate the year’s commercial real estate and development achievements and provide a showcase for its members to nominate outstanding projects and firms within various categories.
