Currently John is President at Peak. As a highly strategic, analytical and results oriented executive, John applies a hands-on, cooperative approach as President of Peak. His primary responsibilities include all aspects of Peak’s day-to-day operations and further development of Peak’s preconstruction services, as well as executive support on Peak’s projects. His pragmatic yet inventive style has been crucial as part of Peak’s executive leadership and direction and success of the organization. John fosters a learn-by-doing environment for Peak employees and works with clients to promote collaboration throughout the entire team and ensures that a client’s vision is understood at every step of the project in a company culture of “Do the Right Thing”.
Expertise John brings 32 years of design-build and operational experience to Peak, primarily in the industrial, hospitality and healthcare sectors. His academic focus on architecture provides a great sensitivity to industry specific details and understanding of technical complexities, and he has helped cultivate Peak’s corporate culture of integrity and creative problem-solving, where both of these strengths have resulted in successful, award-winning projects and lasting client relationships.
Experience John held executive positions prior to joining Peak where he delivered more than $350 million in design-build projects. With robust experience across healthcare, hospitality, industrial, office, retail, and specialty projects, John has worked on projects ranging from $2M to $150M, and, ultimately, managing Peak’s growth to a $500M corporation. He has built projects for national and global clients such as Ares Management, Brookfield Properties, Clarion Partners, Trammell Crow Company, Scannell Properties, IDI Logistics, Marriott International, IHG, Hilton, Irgens, Adventist Health Systems, Advocate Health Care and Coca Cola.
