Challenge: Design and manage the construction of an automated beverage cork processing facility meeting Napa County project requirements, California energy regulations, as well as budget, quality, and time constraints.

Solution: Peak worked closely with HJ Shein and Heitman Architects to develop design and construction criteria for multiple contractors to prepare project proposals for the new facility. On-site tilt-up construction provided a unique architectural and structural solution for a combination of both the exterior building image and building code required seismic resistive characteristics. Key critical project details in addition to schedule, costs, and a unique corporate headquarters image included roof provisions for photovoltaic solar collection cells, a guest friendly lobby viewing area of the laboratories and wine sommelier quality testing activities for cork quality validation.
