Challenge: To construct a revived eight (8) year-old development park for a new 454,276 square foot, LEED Silver certified industrial building with long lead time materials, outdated drawings, new village approvals all while building through the winter.
Solution: Peak worked closely with IDI Gazeley/Brookfield Logistics and Heitman Architects Incorporated to construct the building within the original ten (10) month schedule. Peak worked with our subcontractors and suppliers to combat long lead time items – precast and ductilcrete – by building the structure inside-out; steel was erected first while waiting for precast.
Peak was also able reduce construction time by working with the client and their first tenant to construct their conditioned, pharmaceutical and food grade interior improvement while finishing the shell. Peak was subsequently hired to construct the second tenant improvement immediately following the first tenant improvement.
