Challenge: Design and construct a modern commercial printing facility on a specific site previously owned by the client with unique vehicle access limitations and difficult zoning ordinance building and parking setback requirements.
Solution: Peak worked closely with Heitman Architects to plan and construct a facility architecturally acceptable to the Village of Schaumburg’s requirements for high profile visibility on Meacham Road. The Team was also successful in obtaining a building setback variance from the Village. Other added value considerations included providing effective employee and product flow, and incorporating cost-effective electrical and process distribution networks as well as energy efficient lighting.
In addition, Peak utilized numerous design techniques such as a decorative detention waterfall feature at the entrance to the site, interior wood framed glass walls, executive office accent skylights, and highly durable and decorative wall ad floor finishes accommodating both retail walk-in and corporate customer visitors.
